Arjia

Your First Position

End-to-end walkthrough for opening your first DeFi liquidity position.

This guide walks you through opening your first concentrated liquidity position on Arjia — from picking a pool to monitoring your earnings.

Prerequisites

  • An Arjia account with a connected wallet
  • Tokens in your wallet on a supported chain (e.g., SOL + USDC on Solana)

Step 1: Choose a Chain and Pool

  1. Navigate to Pools from the sidebar
  2. Select your chain (e.g., Solana)
  3. Browse available pools or search for a specific token pair
  4. Look for pools with good trading volume and reasonable fee tiers

For your first position, consider a stable pair like USDC/USDT on Solana — lower risk with consistent fee generation.

Step 2: Set Your Price Range

  1. Click on your chosen pool to open the position creator
  2. Set your lower price bound — the minimum price you want to provide liquidity at
  3. Set your upper price bound — the maximum price
  4. For stable pairs, a tight range (e.g., 0.998 to 1.002) concentrates your capital for higher fee APY
  5. The position calculator will show you the required token amounts

Step 3: Deposit Liquidity

  1. Enter the amount of tokens you want to deposit
  2. The interface automatically calculates the matching amount of the other token based on your price range
  3. Review the position summary:
    • Token amounts
    • Price range
    • Estimated fee APY
  4. Click Open Position and confirm the transaction in your wallet

Step 4: Monitor Your Position

Once your position is open:

  • Dashboard — See your position in the LP Positions overview
  • Position Details — Click on any position to see current value, earned fees, and in-range status
  • Fee Collection — Collect earned fees anytime from the position detail page
  • Notifications — Set up Telegram alerts for when your position goes out of range

What to Watch For

  • In-Range Status — Your position only earns fees when the current price is within your set range
  • Impermanent Loss — Price movements outside your range can affect your position value
  • Fee APY — Track your actual returns vs. estimated APY
  • Rebalancing — Consider adjusting your range if the market moves significantly
